FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q. Why should I have my wedding professionally videotaped?

A. Your wedding day is a once-in-a-lifetime event; you don’t get a re-do. If you just want your wedding to be videotaped, get a friend or relative to do it. You’ll definitely save money — but you’ll also lose out on quality. When you choose a professional, you’ll get much better quality, and it will definitely be more enjoyable to watch.

Q. How should I choose a videographer?

A. You have a lot of options when it comes to a videographer, but you’ve got to ultimately make the best choice for you. Here are some important factors to consider:

  • Good equipment. 3-CCD video cameras that capture clear, crisp images in low light; wireless microphones to hear every word of your vows. These two items are extremely important.
  • A style that fits you. The best way to determine this is simply by comparing samples of demos. Consider the camera work, the editing, the use of effects and transitions, the choice of music. Quite simply, do you like the look and feel of their work? Be sure to ask for a completed copy of another couple’s wedding…is it quality from start to finish, inside and out?
  • Personality. Do you personally like the videographer(s) themselves? Remember, you’ll be working with these people on a very stressful, significant day in your life.

Q. Why should I choose 28Twenty?

A. The standards listed above? Check. Attention to detail? Check. Fun and easy to work with? Check. Unflappable in the face of extreme pressure? Check. Passionate about what we do? Check. Extremely handsome and witty? Ummm, well, you get the idea! The best way to test us out is to check out our work AND talk to us! Let’s sit down over some Starbucks and see if we make a good match.

Q. Will you be a distraction during the wedding?

A. Not one bit. All the attention is on you, and we like to keep it that way. In fact, most couples don’t even notice we’re there during the ceremony. As pros, you can count on us staying out of your way and not being a distraction to you or your guests.

Q. Do you use bright lights during the ceremony?

A. The answer is no, because we don’t want to distract or draw attention away from you or your ceremony. Our cameras are able to capture clear images even in low lighting. We do use a small on-camera light during the reception, however, if necessary.

Q. Can I add my own music to the video?

A. Yes! We will definitely work with you to incorporate any special songs into your video at your request.

Q. How long will it take before I receive the finished video?

A. We obviously want to deliver your video to you as quickly as possible, but our primary concern is that you receive the most amazing wedding film possible. Because of this desire, coupled with our strong attention to detail, production times vary. Our target time is about 12 weeks, though it may be sooner or later depending on several different factors. Though we cannot guarantee a specific date, we can guarantee that your wait will be well worth it!

Q. How is payment handled?

A. We ask for a $500 retainer to reserve the date for you. The remainder of your balance is not due until we sit down to view the final video with you.

For your convenience, we accept cash, check, or major credit cards for your deposit or for payments.

Q. What will my final product look like?

A. It looks incredible! You will love the finished product, and if you don’t, we’ll keep working until you do. Your DVD will be fully personalized with images from your wedding day: imprinted disc, personalized DVD case, and on-screen menus. It will be the sweetest DVD in your collection!

Q. How do I hire 28Twenty as my wedding videographer?

A. It’s about time you asked! First, contact us to check our availability for your date. If we’re available, we can set up a time to meet and discuss further details. To hire us, we’ll ask for a $500 retainer, and we’ll also sign a wedding agreement together to finalize the plans!
