Updates

Well we’re finally winding down and ready to wrap up our first full season of doing weddings full-time! It’s been a busy year, and I’m looking forward to the break. And though I’ll have a break from shooting weddings, I have no such break from editing weddings! Still a lot of catching up to do!

As we enter this winter off-season, we’ll also be making some cosmetic changes to the website. A little freshening up is always good! We’ll also be tweaking our packages a little — more simplified with a slightly different price tag. [Hint: If you haven't booked for 2009 yet, now's a good time to lock in at our current pricing!]

I’ve learned a great deal this year! I have so much more experience from a full year of shooting, editing, meeting with clients, marketing, networking, etc. I’m anxious to apply all the knowledge I’ve gained this year so I can be more productive in 2009. I’ll also strive to continue learning my craft more fully, pushing myself to grow in my ability and creativity. I’ve still got so much to learn!

I’ve also met and worked with a LOT of great people in 2008. Thank you to ALL the great vendors we’ve worked with! As our “co-workers,” you’ve helped make our weekends enjoyable! Thanks also to my fellow videographers, who have been more than willing to share your knowledge, not to mention sending prospective clients my way when possible. It’s great to have friendships with people that the business world considers your “competition!” And of course, we’ve had an awesome collection of couples that have allowed us the privilege of participating in their wedding day!

So stay tuned for more updates as we head towards 2009…

Our own photo shoot!

My wife Annette and I spend almost all of our time BEHIND the camera — whether it’s filming a couple’s wedding day or shooting photos of our 3 little boys! Rarely do we get the chance to be the actual subject in front of the camera! Well, today we had a photo shoot with Tracy Abston of Pictures by Tracy. We had a great time shooting a July wedding with Tracy this year, and she is definitely one of our favs in the wedding business! So we entrusted her with our own faces today, and we weren’t disappointed! We had such a good time, and you can see more images on her blog by visiting the link below:

Thanks Tracy! You do amazing work! ;)

Worst Best Man EVER

All I can say is — without wedding videography, this moment in time may have been lost forever…

Ok, so maybe it’s not real, but it’s funny! A whole new take on a Trash the Dress!

Jason & Olesya were such fun to work with! A beautiful bride who loves your work, and a groom who can enjoy himself even in front of a camera — how great does that make my job?!

This second video is the Outtakes. Just the fun, silly moments that don’t fit anywhere else in the wedding film, but certainly are a big part of your day! By the way, we always try to include these with every wedding we do. Hopefully we’ll never run into a wedding with NO laughter or outtakes-worthy moments!

Thanks, Olesya & Jason, for all the fun! Your story still blows me away, and I’m so honored that you would include us, in some small way, in the beautiful story of your marriage! (Also, props to Amanda Egan for her great work, and for not killing me on the golf cart ride!)
